WTE: U-residence, Taylor's University

Hi everyone!

So today I'm gonna start my WTE session on U-residence at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus, Malaysia. By the way, WTE stands 'WHAT TO EXPECT' as all the things that I am about to say are something that you can expect if you are going to this place.

I'm pretty sure there are lots of confusions hanging around your head. Either you're a freshman or even a foundation student here at Taylor's University. Just in case you don't know, U-residence is a hostel for students at Taylor's University Lakeside Campus. Well, you are not forced to stay here. You can stay where ever you like as long as you pay the tuition fees and come to class every day. So here are the expectations that you can expect.

#1 THE ROOM

The room provides a bed, a study table, a chair, a closet and ceiling fan. Don't worry just yet! It is also air conditioned. So, that's the basic. Once you have registered there and sign some agreements, you will be given a white bed sheet, a soft pillow, a pillow case, a bed cover (complete bed set). If you're lucky, you'll get a room with the lakeside or the streeet view. But if you're unfortunate, your view is just a wall.

#2 SIZE

Trust me, size-wise, it is not bad at all. Maybe some of you guys will argue that the size is smaller than you expected and is not worth what you're paying for. However, the size of this room doesn't really affect your life as a student. You'll probably gonna go there just for nap or to snooze off at night because you'll be spending most of your time being a student. You have assignments and tests remember? So don't make yourself a couch potato there because they don't give you couches in your room.

'I'm a loner and I like to spend my day at my room.' If this is you, don't worry! The room is specifically made for one person and it is gonna fit you right. If you are sociable and like other people to come hang out in your room, there's also space for that. Don't worry. But sleepover is not recommended because of the tight space. Just hanging around will do!

#3 KITCHEN AREA

There's microwave, there's fridge, you name it they have it. Wait! That's all they have. HAHA! I mean in terms of electrical appliances. You can store all your fridge goodies inside the fridge and heat them up when you wanna eat them. Cooking is prohibited in this area because they have a smoke detector that will beeps whenever it detects smoke. But hey! I said you cannot cook in this area, not in other areas. Find your own space that's far from the evil detectors and cover up from the guards. Be smart and don't bring that giant gas cylinder here. That's too obvious okay.

There's also table and chairs for you to dig in or hang out with your apartment mates (a.k.a. never gonna happen). You'll be so busy and so are your apartment mates. You can sit there to do your homework or do other stuff. I usually sit there to get out form the A/C in my room. It's freezing cold sometimes.

#4 TOILET AREA
I dont have any picture of it, but trsut me it's okay. There's two showers (with hot and cold options) and two toilet seats. There's also a huge mirror. Cleanliness-wise, there's cleaner that will be coming to your toilet twice a weak so don't worry. However, you toilet can be filthy depending on your apartment mates or maybe yourself. Don't forget to flush!

There's no toilet papers provided so ready them yourself if you're comfortable using it.

I guess that's all for now. Leave your questions and doubts on the comment section below. I wish you guys luck and I will add more infos about U-residence later on. Enjoy your stay here and take care!

adios~

  6. Though there are some substantive requirements for citizenship, the most important one, considered to be the most complex is the residence in the US. A place of general abode of a person is generally termed as residence. In other words, the actual dwelling place of a person is the residence. To apply for US citizenship, a person should be a resident in the US and the specific residence requirements have to be adequately met. parc komo

  7. . I find out real estate investors telling all the time that they aren't receiving seller phone calls and subsequently aren't receiving the leads they need to find the real estate business deals they require to earn a living. avenue south residence
